Guo Runzhi, a practitioner of the art of paper cutting, the Shanxi province's non-tangible culture heritage, displays her new paper cut "Monkeys Send Treasures" to visitors on Jan 27, in Xiaoyi city, Shanxi province. The huge work is two meters in diameter and took Guo three months to finish. As 2016 is the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese lunar calendar, Guo has completed over 40 paper cuts with a monkey theme to celebrate the coming Spring Festival. [Photo by Yan Yan/Xinhua] |
