The team got a tour of the Shuanglin Temple, a Buddhist site built before the Song Dynasty (960-1279), as well as Yingxun Garden, the old city walls, Qingxuguan Temple, and the Rishengchang, the country's oldest financial organization.

They got some first-hand experience with early Shanxi culture and relics preservation, tourism development, cultural studies, performing arts and tourism and culture facilities, with Cai calling for greater exploration of the county's heritage, improvements in tourism, and the development of more cultural brands and arts programs.
