Shanxi will coordinate every effort to promote cooperation in five regional economies in the second half of 2014, according to the National Development and Reform Commission on July 28.
The province plans to strengthen cooperation in the sectors of energy, transportation, agriculture, trade and tourism within the Bohai Economic Rim, and to speed up its integration progress with the economic rim. Shanxi, as a part of the Shanxi-Shaanxi-Henan Yellow River Gold Triangle, will endeavor in pushing forward the coordinated development of three provinces and four cities within the triangle, as its five cities including Datong, Yuncheng and Linfen served as leading forces at Shanxi’s part. The cities of Changzhi, Jincheng and Yuncheng in Shanxi will be principal responsibilities in the province’s efforts to integrate itself into the Central Plains Economic Zone in this year’s second half.
In addition, Shanxi plans to carry out cooperation with the provinces and cities along the Silk Road Economic Belt and expand cooperation with countries in Central Asia.
The communication and exchange with the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta is also one of the province’s main tasks in the second half, especially the economic and technological cooperation with related provinces.
