Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort is to offer half-price tickets for visitors from Sept 15-21 welcome the upcoming 2018 Shanghai Tourism Festival.

Shanghai Happy Valley boasts some renowned best entertainment facilities from abroad to attract young thrill-seekers. The Diving Coaster, China's highest roller coaster, was introduced from the US and Switzerland, while the Wooden Coaster-Fireball, the country's first wooden ride, was also built using overseas technology.

The annual water lily exhibition will be held in Chenshan Botanical Garden, Shanghai from Aug 18 to Sept 18, presenting lily lovers with an exciting array of displays and activities. This year’s event displays more than 300 varieties of water lilies.

Visitors will also have the chance to participate in a range of fun activities, including a "baby sitting on water lily leaf" activity, where children under 20 kg can try sitting on a giant victoria amazonica leaf, a giant lily leaf that can bear weights of up to 50 kg.

Apart from the discounts for the tourism festival, the Happy Valley has also rolled out a series of special offers for visitors in September.

Launched in 1990, the Shanghai Tourism Festival attracts millions of people every year. It highlights the beautiful landscape and cultural and shopping glamor of Shanghai by holding a series of activities featuring sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, sports, exhibition and shopping.

This year’s festival held from Sept 15 to Oct 6, more than 70 amusement activities and scenic spots in Shanghai will offer huge discounts to give visitors a chance to enjoy a magic travel journey.
