The World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions will be held in the city of Shanghai's Sheshan Golf International Club, a premier private club, Nov 6 - 9, with Rory McIlroy, winner of the PGA Champion 2014 and Open Champion 2014 scheduled to take part.

In commenting on this year's event, the 10th, the vice-chairman of the China Golf Association, Zhang Xiaoning, said that China and the US are the only countries that have held these world golf tournaments, which are getting a warm welcome nowadays.

Sponsors of the event are International Federation of PGA Tours and the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champion. This is one of four well-known golf events, along with the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, Cadillac Championship, and WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
