In the early summer, hundreds of yellow-billed Chinese egrets come to Gaoshan Island, a part of Changdao Island in Yantai, to make their home, take a rest, and raise their children.
The Chinese egret is a state-level protected bird. There are less than 8,000 of them worldwide. From the beginning of May each year, they start breeding on Gaoshan Island and leave in September. Click the video to see more.
