As the four-month fishing ban comes to an end, 4,617 fishing vessels in Yantai port, East China's Shandong province returned to sea on Sept 1.

The resumption of fishing has meant Yantai's wharfs are busier than ever, with shipment after shipment of freshly-caught seafood.

Yantai port's annual fishing ban begins on May 1 and is part of efforts to protect the environment and preserve fishing resources.
