Ice jelly

Ice jelly is a kind of jelly made of herbal seeds. Visitors can buy a glass of ice jelly for only 1 yuan ($0.16). It tastes sweet, sour and refreshing. In fact, it can be found in many places in Yunnan province other than Lijiang. For example, in Kunming, it is called papaya water or miliangxia, but with different flavors.

Fried dough

Put dough in a frying pan heated by firewood and bake it with only a little sesame oil until it is yellow. Visitors can eat it with chili sauce, or just enjoy its original wheat flavor without adding anything.

Cubilose crisp

A cubilose crisp melts in your mouth. It is soft and a little sweet, but not greasy. The stand at the middle of Huangshan Road is recommended if visitors want to try.

The stand makes the treat in the morning and starts selling it at 2 pm.

Rice cake

Rice cake is a white steamed rice snack shaped like a rhombus, with brown sugar and white sugar flavors. There is an attractive red dot in the middle of the brown sugar rice cake.

Chinese crabapple

Chinese crabapple, a kind of fruit, tastes sour and sweet, but is not as strong as the hawthorn. It is beneficial for nephritis and diabetes patients. Chinese crabapples that are big, with bright red skin and tender, thick flesh taste better. Otherwise, the taste is light and bitter.

Hoosh

Hoosh is a must for Naxi spring festivals. There are many materials included in traditional Naxi hoosh. They include salt-preserved pork ribs, carrots, Chinese chive roots, bean sprouts, tofu, noodles, bean vermicelli, arrowheads, taros, and Chinese yams.

Hoosh is simple to cook. First, put the pork ribs, arrowheads and taros, which are hard to cook thoroughly, into the pot. Before they are cooked thoroughly, put the other materials in, cooking them for a while. Then add some oil and salt.
