There are many wall paintings in the suburbs of Lijiang, including the ones found in Jixiang village. Entering the village, visitors can immediately see a giant wall painting of a Naxi wedding ceremony, which is highly praised by the villagers.

In the last decade, about 200 artists have come to Jixiang village, both from home and abroad."Once there were artists from eight different countries living in my house," said He Shiyuan, the village head. The artists created many works of art and left them in the village.

There was an American artist named Jay Brown living in Jixiang village. He won praise among villagers not only because of his wall paintings but also thanks to his kind actions. He was polite to senior citizens and handed out stationery to younger residents.

Some villagers invited Brown to paint on their walls. They had no special requirements for the painting, so he could paint whatever he liked.

You can see many people strolling on the streets after dinner. They look so peaceful and at ease. People live a simple and relaxed life in Lijiang.

Many tourists come to Lijiang hoping to spend time relaxing. They don't even care where they go or what they see. Travelling in Lijiang allows visitors the chance to observe and enjoy life.
