Naxi Bangbang Trade Fair brings in tourists

The Naxi Bangbang Trade Fair is held on the fifteenth day of the lunar calendar every year. The fair used to provide local people with a place to buy agricultural tools for the spring plough after Spring Festival.

Originally, the Bangbang Trade Fair was held in Yuhuangge of Lijiang. It later moved to Sifang Street in the Old Town of Lijiang.

Nowadays, Sifang Street is crowded with tourists due to Lijiang's popularity. As a result, the fair has moved to Xiangshan Market and Zhongyi Market in the new town.

Bangbang Trade Fair has become a unique folk festival. Flowers and saplings are popular commodities sold at the fair. There are also children's toys and local delicious snacks for people to try.

In recent years, the local government has promoted Bangbang Trade Fair as an attraction during Spring Festival, bringing in more and more tourists.
