Snow Mountains Music Festival

The Old Town of Shuhe, located in Lijiang, hosts the Snow Mountains Music Festival every August. The festival attracts many young people every year.

Bangbang Fair

Time: January 15 (lunar calendar)

People from the Naxi ethnic group celebrate the Bangbang Fair on January 15 of the lunar calendar every year.

The fair is held to promote trade of agricultural tools in preparation for spring plowing. Farmers and businesspeople from neighboring counties, from as far away as Dali, come to the fair and bring local products to trade.

Various commodities are available at the fair, including agricultural tools, fruit saplings, flowers, toys and daily necessities.
