The Lijiang Old Town Protection Administration launched cultural activities during the Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday.
About 40,000-potted chrysanthemum of more than 200 varieties were in town, as well as 120 paintings and calligraphy, 20 photograph works and 50 handmade crafts were on display in the old town’s community center on Oct 1-7.
Traditional art performances such as Naxi (an ethnic group mainly living in Southwest China) songs and dances, Naxi folk music, and ancient music concert were held in the old town's Square Market on Oct 1-5.
There were also activities that encouraged tourists learn about Dongba ( the culture and script of the Naxi people) characters and Naxi language through interactions.
