Lijiang signs cooperation agreement with Western Yunnan Railway

Lijiang city signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Western Yunnan Railway Co Ltd to promote its railway transportation industry on Aug 17.

"The logistics industry is the key to economic development. Rapid regional growth will rely on the development of the logistics industry," said He Lianghui, mayor of Lijiang. Improved railway transportation systems in Lijiang will help to facilitate the rapid and healthy development of the city's tourism and other industries.

Shen Donglin, managing director of Western Yunnan Railway, discussed the major problems in the operation of the Dali-Lijiang railway. He proposed a stronger cooperation in developing and expanding railway transportation with the government to lay a solid foundation for social and economic development in Lijiang.
