Delegation of New Zealand National Affairs Ministry visit Lijiang

A delegation led by Judith Collins, minister of the Ministry of National Affairs of New Zealand and Carl Worker, ambassador of New Zealand in China, conducted a study tour in Lijiang on July 2. The delegation aimed to learn about China's policies towards ethnic groups and discuss the exchange and cooperation between the two countries in the ethnic field.

During their stay in Lijiang, the delegation visited Baisha Frescoes, a characteristic Naxi Village of Yuhu Village, and the old town of Lijiang. They also appreciated Naxi traditional dwellings, experienced unique Naxi culture, and got to know how ethnic groups participated in service areas and how the protection and development of villages is performed.

The delegation appreciated Lijiang's traditional dwellings, protection and development of the cultures of ethnic groups, and farmers' participation in the tourism service.
