Located near Yufeng Temple, Puna Residence is a good place for leisure. Visitors enjoy it, not only for its beautiful landscapes, but also for its unique farm-flavored dishes.
Puna Residence belongs to Zhao Qiwei and his wife in Yulong Village, Yulong County. In March 2008, Zhao Qiwei became the first person engaged in the catering industry in the village. He rented a pear orchard of over 0.33 hectares and borrowed a loan of 160, 000 yuan ($25,136) to renovate the pear orchard and build roads and houses. Up until now, over 300,000 yuan has been invested. He built restaurants, grill rooms and entertainment rooms in the leisure garden.
After many years, the infrastructure at the leisure garden has been greatly improved. Fruit trees have been planted, including plum trees and peach trees. In summer, everything is clad with green, attracting local people to spend leisurely summers.
The farm-flavored dishes in Puna Residence have a distinctive flavor. The home preserved ham and bacon, home-raised local chickens, mountain taro and vegetables picked from local hills, as well as cabbages and greens planted in the vegetable gardens are fresh and attractive to local people. With its beautiful environment and moderate price, many townspeople enjoy the rural landscape and taste distinctive farm-flavored dishes with friends.
