Yiliang holds 2012 Tourism Culture Flower Street Festival

The 2012 Tourism Culture Flower Street Festival unveiled in Yiliang county on June 21.

The annual flower street festival during the Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional folk custom in Yiliang. The county is decorated with pot flowers, potted landscape, flowers and trees. People visit the county from every corner of the country to appreciate, purchase or sell flowers.

Themed as "A town of flowers and rivers, and perfect for inhabitation" the festival will last for 15 days from June 21 to July 5. The festival includes an opening ceremony, a flower exhibition, a dragon boat race, theatrical performance, an exhibition of flower artwork, a one-day tour to Xiangya Lake and Flower Street, a special investment seminar for restaurants, tourism and real estate in Xiangya Lake, and a closing ceremony.
