Lijiang Snow Mountain music festival held

The fifth Lijiang Snow Mountain music festival was held at the Lijiang International Art village from Dec 30, 2011 to Jan 1, 2012.

The music festival was called a "Snow Mountain Ark" and carried a theme of recalling life's meaning. Various domestic and well-known musicians of Lijiang city presented Rock & Roll, folk music and natural ecologic music.

Fans were able to view the Yulong Snow Mountain and the landscape reflected in the water while enjoying the music.

A series of activities were held during the festival, such as a beer plaza, creative bazaar-IMART （I am art）, bar street and a bonfire party.

The activity "Train to snow mountain" started during the festival. "Snow Mountain" compartments were set up in some trains from Kunming city to Lijiang city to pick up the festival audiences. During the festival, special vehicles provided free transportation to tourists who wanted to see it.

Lijiang Snow Mountain music festival initially started in 2002 and was held again in 2007, 2008 and 2010. The 2011 Lijiang Snow Mountain music festival took tourists away from their city lives and brought them to a three-day music celebration. Tickets were priced at 150 yuan.
