Pay maintenance fee and win a 200 thousand-yuan-prize

The first lottery activity for the maintenance fee of Lijiang's ancient town was held at the tourist service center in the White Dragon Culture Square on Jan 6, 2012.

All the bills for the Lijiang maintenance fee from the period of July 1 to Dec 31 were included in the draw.

Lijiang ancient town is the only tour resort that has won all the names of the world cultural heritage, national famous historical and cultural city, national civilized scenic tourism area and national AAAAA scenic spot. Over recent 10 years, 1.6billion yuan has been invested into improving the infrastructure of ancient city including health, communication, power supply, water supply, transportation and other series of protection construction projects.

However, there is still a severe lack of funds for the protection of the ancient town. In response to this, tourists were charged a maintenance fee to manage and protect the Lijiang ancient town starting in 2001. It was listed as "Lijiang mode" by UNESCO, a new model to help to the world cultural heritage protection.

Through ten years’ continuous efforts, the maintenance fee collection in Lijiang ancient town gets more and more standard, but fee evasion phenomena still exist.

The lottery activity was implemented with the intention of drawing the public’s attention to cultural heritage protection. Contributions can then be made for the development of Lijiang’s tourism.

The bill lottery activity is held twice a year, (every Jan 6 and July 6) with a total of ten winners receiving a bonus of 200 thousand yuan each time. The whole process of the lottery is under the notary of Lijiang Notary Office and the supervision of the news media and various circles of society, with computer drawing system, which is fair, open, and just.

Time for cashing the lottery is within 60 conversation days since the announcement of the winning numbers. If past the appointed time, it would be regarded as a waiver and the bonus would be taken as national treasure. The winning lottery ticket numbers are:
