Prize for paying maintenance fee revealed

The first lottery activity for the maintenance fee of Lijiang's ancient town was held at the tourist service center in the White Dragon Culture Square on Jan 6, 2012.

All the bills for the Lijiang maintenance fee from the period of July 1st to Dec 31st were included in the draw.

Lijiang ancient town is the only tour resort that has won all the names of the world cultural heritage, national famous historical and cultural city, national civilized scenic tourism area and national AAAAA scenic spot.

There is a severe lack of funds for the protection of the ancient town. In response to this, tourists were charged a maintenance fee to manage and protect the Lijiang ancient town starting in 2001. It was listed as "Lijiang mode" by UNESCO, a new model to help to the world cultural heritage protection.

The lottery activity was implemented with the intention of drawing the public's attention to cultural heritage protection. Contributions can then be made for the development of Lijiang's tourism.

The bill lottery activity is held twice a year, (every Jan 6 and July 6) with a total of ten winners receiving a bonus of 200 thousand yuan each time. The winning lottery ticket numbers are:
