Fifth Lijiang Snow Mountain Music Festival to begin

Every spectator at the 5th Lijiang Snow Mountain Music Festival will be able to find something that they like as the festival brings together bands and singers from various genres.

Zheng Jun started his rock career many years ago with the song Cinderella. His voice is often described as laidback and cynical.

Sigangli Band: a local band from Yunnan province. Their music, with its natural sounds, represents the culture of Wa ethnic group.

Mountain People Band: Founded in the second half of 2008, the band is comprised of Wu Junde and Zhou Lao’er, bandsmen from former Tongue Band, Zhou Laoda from Porcelain Band and Wubuli, a percussionist from Xinjiang.

Tourist Band: The band integrates Kazakh music, classical music, ballads and other music elements.

Spirit Bubble: With metal as the centerpiece of their music style, the music reflects the lively spirit of young men. The group is confident in their style and believe that life creates music, and feelings shape music.

Jin Song: Jin Song defines his style as nomadic ballad, a label that a group of non-native musicians based in Lijiang gave themselves. The group tour different cities every year like nomads. Jin Song says that he makes new friends every day and likes to feel their grief and joy as a bystander. He also enjoys writing about the unique story and music of Lijiang.

Circus Band: As a band that has taken part in all Snow Mountain Music Festivals since 2002, their music focuses on love and peace. The band aims to express themselves in their truest form through a diversified style.

Mosaic is a local band from Chengdu. Harmonic and relaxed, the band is growing rapidly as professional performers.

Low Wormwood Band comes from Lanzhou city of Northwest China and explores the world with the unique sentiments of the northwest. Their music is simple but multiple orchestrations add ethnic color to the music. They are one of China’s most outstanding bands from recent years and also one of the most well-known band from Lanzhou and the northwestern region.

The 8-year-old Heiyu Band is a mainstream band active in the rock circle of Yunnan. The band has had a number of live performances and issued its first album The Heart of Metals at the beginning of 2012. The band was founded when the members were still students. Today, all band members have their own jobs but have never given up their love of music.
