To protect and manage the world cultural heritage site, Lijiang ancient town, comprehensive protection and management administrations held two meetings. These meetings consisted of business owners on the bar street and raised specific requirements on fire control and the elimination of bar noise.

The administration required business owners to turn off all acoustic equipment at 23:30 every night. The performances must also highlight ethnic characteristics and essences of local traditional cultures.

Bars should strictly control the volume of music and abandon high power acoustic equipment. The bar owners are not able to install and apply modern neon lamps inconsistent to the style and features of the ancient town. They were also asked to improve fire control consciousness and not block the fire exits.
