The first Bohai Rim Economic Circle & Hubei Investor Cooperation Seminar was held in Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning Province on January 23.

More than 500 business representatives and economic experts from the Bohai Rim areas and Hubei Commerce Chambers in Liaoning attended the seminar. They exchanged views and discussed over how to promote the cooperation between the Bohai Rim Economic Circle and Hubei businessmen.

The seminar, themed “develop through innovations, achieve win-win through cooperation” was sponsored by the Hubei Chamber of Commerce in Liaoning Province. It was the first economic forum sponsored by a commerce chamber in Liaoning Province. Zhang Zhaohua, the President of the chamber of commerce, said at the seminar that the Bohai Rim Economic Circle was developing at accelerated paces. It had created an opportunity for new development of Hubei investors in this region. But there ran short of a platform for interactions and exchanges. Therefore, the Hubei Chamber of Commerce in Liaoning initiated the seminar and set up a joint meeting for cooperation with investors from Hubei Province.

“It provided a high-level and well-organized negotiation mechanism and exchange and cooperation platform for the local governments of the Bohai Rim, entrepreneurs from Hubei, and experts and scholars. They will help and learn from each other to seek greater development and contribute to local economic development,” said Zhang.

The Hubei Chamber of Commerce in Liaoning Province was founded in 2007, with 300 enterprise members from about 40 industrial sectors, such as shipbuilding, real estate development, building decoration, household furniture, auto parts, electronics, petroleum and chemical industry, medicine, catering and logistics service. Many of these enterprises have developed into leading businesses in the sectors in the province.
