Plant wheat seedlings is a representative artworks of Tea-picking Opera, a traditional opera popular in Ganzhou area, Jiangxi province. It has a history of more than 400 years and developed from folk songs in South Jiangxi province.

The artwork, Plant wheat seeds, depicts a daily story of a couple in the countryside. Jin Hua, the wife of farmer Wu Tian did not do farm works, resulting in a small estrangement between the couple. One day, the couple went to seed wheat. In the process of seedling, they chat with each other and laugh to eliminate misunderstanding to enhance their affection.
