The 6th International Humor Art Week is to be held in Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province from Oct 31 to Nov 3.

As an important part of the 2018 Zhangjiagang Yangtze River Art and Culture Festival, which is to be held concurrently, the four-day event is themed around "humor enriches life, laughter connects the world" which showcases the art achievements in China since the reform and opening-up policy.

This year's humor art week will see various performances including the opening ceremony performance, performances from both international and local humor artists and a Zhangjiagang quyi performance (a traditional Chinese art form).

More than 40 items of over 20 Chinese art forms will also be on display, such as cross talk, Suzhou Pingtan, and sketch. Additionally artists from America, Russia, Germany, Japan and Ukraine will stage magic and humor performances.

Jointly host by the Chinese Ballad Singers Association and China Acrobats Association, the International Humor Art Week has been held five times since 2006.
