Zhangjiagang, the beautiful port city in the east of Jiangsu province, recently hosted a photography competition to celebrate the 19th National Congress Communist Party of China (CPC) and present the county-level city's rapid development over the past five years.

The photographs chart Zhangjiagang's rise from an unknown town to a prosperous port city, showing off its beautiful scenery, vibrant culture and economic development.
