The picturesque Fenghuang Mountain in Zhangjiagang, Jiangu province has taken on a bright and colorful new look as the mountainous slopes transform, covered in blooming peach flowers!

The annual peach blossom festival, which aims to share with more people the splendid spring scenery and profound folk culture, raised its curtain on March 25.

In addition to the events held over the years, this year's festival put more emphasis on integrating with cultural elements, such as running traditional Chinese costume shows, hosting coming-of-age ceremonies, wearing popular ancient makeup, and writing flower-themed poems.

Among which, the activity encouraging tourists to dress up in traditional Chinese costumes was the most sought-after. By adding antique flavors to natural beauty, the activity has attracted numerous people coming from surrounding towns and cities.

"I've been yearning for the beautiful scenery at Fenghuang Mountain for a long time," said a tourist from Shanghai. "My trip was rewarding, as the flowers colored the mountain with unique elegance."

As the first scenic spot in Zhangjiagang being ranked at the national AAAA level, Fenghuang Mountain has been devoted to promoting its image. It now boasts enjoyable trips for tourists coming at all seasons, with spring visitors appreciating seas of peach blossoms, summer arrivals tasting the juicy honey peaches, autumn visitors roaming around ancient streets and temples, and winter tourists bathing in hot spring and warm sunshine.
