Jiangsu's Kangde Xin Composite Material in Zhangjiagang city has cooperated with consumer electronics giant, Changhong, to launch the world's first smart HD glasses-free 3D cell phone, a milestone in the history of the 3D technology industry.
The glasses-free 3D tech, also known as "autostereoscopy", is a method of displaying stereoscopic images, adding binocular perception of 3D depth, without the use of special headgear or glasses on the part of the viewer.
"Our company provides 3D unit software support," said Shao Zhenjiang, president of Kangde Xin, "Besides Changhong, we have also achieved cooperation with some other cell phone manufacturers like Huawei and Lenovo who will launch their glasses-free 3D cell phones in the second half of the year."
Five years' R&D left Kangde Xin fruitful in the field of 3D technology industry with more than 800 glasses-free 3D patents. As the world’s only 3D manufacturer covering every phase of the industrial chain, Kangde Xin signed a strategic cooperation agreement with electronics manufacturer, Philips, in March, 2015 to integrate its glasses-free 3D tech which later contributed to the company's greatly improved third generation 3D tech, expected to be applied to home appliances in 2017.
Besides technology R&D, Kangde Xin has established an "Internet + 3D" product platform to provide smart HD glasses-free 3D solutions to more than 100 domestic and foreign corporations.
At the latest Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, held in Las Vegas, Kangde Xin won the best innovative technology award with its amazing visual experience and multiple LiveApp.
Kangde Xin has taken advantage of its core technology and mass production ability to make the glasses-free 3D business its growth booster, and applied the tech to many other fields including industrial and medical displays, commercial advertising, teaching, architectural design, 3D printing and traveling.
"The 3D industry has a bright future, whose market volume may reach $100 billion," said the company’s president, adding, "Our ultimate goal is to replace displays with 3D products to change people’s visual life."
