More than 2,800 people have registered to take the 2016 civil servant test on Jan 17, in the city of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province.

The city will recruit 68 municipal and 20 township civil servants this year, with an average of 32 people competing for each position, according to the numbers registered.

This year's test will have a few modifications from previous years.

The exam will begin at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the Administrative Vocational Ability and 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. for the Essay, both on Mar 12.

Those registered are reminded that exam cheating is a criminal offense and the local civil servant department will cooperate with the education and police departments to address any problems should they arise.

Tips: Candidates should print their test admission cards online from Mar 7 to 11 and take the written test on Mar 12.
