IoT technologies change life in Wuxi

Ahead of the upcoming 2018 World Internet of Things Expo, China Daily reporter James Skinner embarks on a tour of its host city - Wuxi to find out some of the most popular IoT applications being used.

Scheduled for Sept 15 to 18, this year's World Internet of Things Expo will include one main summit, one IoT application and production exhibition, 10 high-end forums and 16 series of events. The number of activities and participants will exceed those of last year.

The World Internet of Things Expo, having been held for two years and become China's top internet of things event, will showcase the latest products, advances, models and development trends related to the IoT.

The former Wuxi New District, now known as Wuxi Xinwu district or Wuxi National Hi-tech district, was founded in 1992 and underwent administrative changes in 1995, 2002 and 2005.
