Hanhe has become a leading enterprise in the plant protection drone industry with 10 years of developmental experience. Its unmanned helicopters for crop protection with carrying capabilities of 15kg, 35kg and 45kg are first of their kind in China. The company’s self-developed technologies of obstacle avoidance based on binocular vision; big data return and remote management have also helped fill the technological gaps in the domestic drone industry.

In 2016, Hanhe participated in three national key research projects and won the first prize of Jiangsu S&T Progress award for agricultural machinery. In 2017, it reached cooperation with Wuxi High-tech district on building a research and manufacturing base for Hanhe Aviation unmanned helicopters. The district will offer favorable policies, relevant guide and service and suitable environment for industrial development.

The infrastructures of the base have been finished and Hanhe's first self-designed automatic production line has begun its trial production. In June this year, DEA General Aviation, a manufacturer of coaxial helicopters, UAS, and aero engines, signed an agreement with Hanhe and announced on July 3 that investments in Hanhe increased by over 95 million yuan ($14.38 million), bringing Hanhe’s pre-money valuation to 700 million yuan.
