Wuxi Mayor Huang Qin met with Han Guangju, Party secretary and general manager of CITIC Medical and Health Industry Group, on July 23, to discuss cooperation in the health industry.
The two sides plan to establish a health industry development fund and build hospitals which specialize in reproduction and inheritance.
During the meeting, Huang described Wuxi's efforts to develop the health care industry. The total value of large biomedical manufacturers reached nearly 40 billion yuan ($5.8 billion) in 2018, and famous biomedical companies, including AstraZeneca, WuXi AppTec and Nutricia, help to promote the city's health industry.
CITIC Medical and Health Industry Group is the wholly owned subsidiary of CITIC Group, which provides services including plastic surgery, general health care, and health management.
