The 2018 National Entrepreneurs Day and China Entrepreneur Summit was held on June 6 in Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi, Jiangsu province.
The event's theme was Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit in the New Age and Pushing High-quality development for Enterprises. Participants, including Wang Zhongyu, head of China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association, Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu province, and Zhu Hongren, standing vice-chairman and executive general of the China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association, delivered keynote speeches during the conference.
Wang noted that entrepreneurs should make active efforts in improving the quality of enterprises' supply systems and encouraging technological and managerial innovation, and attach great importance to the harmonious co-existence between mankind and nature, the development of quality personnel and the improvement of ideological work in themselves.
Seven other entrepreneurs discussed channels to promote entrepreneurial spirit and achieve high-quality development for enterprises for a new era. A seminar on these topics was attended by over 40 entrepreneurs.

During the conference, the Yuan Baohua Gold Award for Enterprise Management was granted to China's excellent entrepreneurs of 2017. The prize winners included Xiong Qunli, He Yu, Miao Hangen and Jiang Yide, CEOs of China Electronic Technology Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Group, Shenghong Group and Beijing Building Materials Group respectively.
Set up in 2005, the biennial award rewards Chinese entrepreneurs who make outstanding contributions to the modernization of China's enterprise management to build a favorable social environment for entrepreneurs.
The China Manufacturing Summit addressed issues in the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing, and six entrepreneur's forums were also held during the conference. Some participants at the conference conducted on-site inspections at Huaxi village, Heilan Group and Carbon Valley Technology Group.
