According to Yixing Railway Station, the previous trains to Shanghai set off from Nanjing first meaning that tickets were often sold or in short supply for those travelling from Yixing. With the adding of G7319 this time, the problem is expected to be solved.
According to the 13th Five-Year Plan for Jiangsu province, another high-speed railway line will come into operation in the coming five years. The Yan-Tai-Xi-Chang-Yi Railway will cross the Yangtze River and pass through Yancheng, Taizhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Yixing. The railway stretches 290 kilometers and trains will travel at an average speed of 250 kph.
