In recent years, Kunshan's rural leisure tourism has been gathering momentum and the city has grown up to be an ideal holiday resort.

Currently, there are one 5A scenic spot, three 4A scenic spots, three 3A scenic spots, three national distinctive tourism landscape famous towns (villages), five national agriculture tourism demonstration spots, five Jiangsu provincial star-rated village tourist spots, 12 above-Suzhou-city-level star-rated agritainment spots, as well as a large number of various leisure farms, restaurants, etc.

In 2014, the city received 19.268 million tourists and the tourism revenue was 22.35 billion yuan ($3.51 billion).
