An exhibition showcasing the paintings of famous Chinese artist Liu Haisu opened at the Suzhou Museum in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, on July 16.

A total of 82 pieces were carefully selected from the Shanghai Liu Haisu Art Museum, all of which represent Liu’s style over different periods of his life. Materials, photos and videos about Liu Haisu are also part of the exhibition.

Liu Haisu (1896 - 1994) was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu province. He was a brilliant painter and art educationist.

The exhibition will run through September 1, 2013.
