The festival, an annual event in Kunshan, the county-level city in Jiangsu which administers Zhouzhuang, aims to promote cultural exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

It is the first time that Zhouzhuang has hosted the grand event.

The festival will be composed of four different themed lantern areas: The "Kunshan Impression" Zone, "Taiwan flavor" Zone, "Zhouzhuang Story" Zone and "Blessing China" Zone.

Here’s a recommended route and list of things to see so that you don't miss anything at the festival.

1. First Stop: Zhouzhuang Tourist Service Center on Diannan Road

What to do: Tour around the "Kunshan Impression" Lantern Zone and enjoy local folk performances.
