Suzhou BioTOP Technical Service Co (BioTOP) held the first Excel training course in Suzhou BioBay on Aug 21, attended by over 220 staffers from 88 enterprises.

Excel is a spreadsheet application by Microsoft Office, featuring calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications. It is widely used in management, statistics and finance. However, according to an online survey, most users know only 20 percent of Excel's functions.

To help people understand Excel, BioTOP invited Wang Peifeng, an expert on Office software, to introduce Excel's more detailed functions, including PivotTable. The majority of attendants said that the lecture made them more familiar with Excel and they wished to attend such training again.

The course was part of BioTOP's training plans and the company plans to hold courses for Excel's graph and function applications in September and October.

BioTOP, based in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, is an independent third-party agency which provides analytical and testing services accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). Its management strictly complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
