2019 Reading Festival kicks off in Binhu

With the arrival of World Reading Day on April 23, the 2019 Binhu Reading Festival kicked off in Binhu district in Wuxi city.

This year, the district plans to hold more than 50 reading activities to enrich the cultural lives of local residents.

The festival will feature a variety of activities including reading exchanges, classic book recitals and reading salons at the libraries and service centers of Binhu.

In addition, a series of art training sessions will be held to teach residents about dancing, singing and playing instruments.

"The festival welcomes people who want to participate in the cultural activities and we hope more residents will be inspired by the activities to enjoy reading," said Jiang Zhihao, director of the civilization office of Binhu district.
