Donghe district in Baotou recently launched a series of activities in honor of the 70th anniversary of the founding of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

A chorus competition opened in a stadium at Baotou Medical College on June 28 and ended at Baotou No 2 Middle School on July 9, attracting an audience of nearly 7,000.

Donghe district has held hiking activities, painting, calligraphy and folk art exhibitions, as well as a reading festival and speech contests, and is to organize a further 20 activities including seminars and photography exhibitions.

Various celebrations also encouraged visitors to feel united and optimistic about the future.
