Bokh training for Mongolian wrestlers

Two Mongolian wrestlers practice Bokh (Mongolian wrestling) on grassland, April 27. Baotou recently launched a one-month Bokh training program to prepare for the upcoming sports meeting for ethnic minorities in the autonomous region. Top wrestler Batu Jirigala from Xilin Gol League has been invited to train the competitors. Wrestling is one of "the three games of men" of the Mongolian ethnic group. The sport, along with horsemanship and archery, forms the basis of the competition at the Nadam Fair, which is held annually in midsummer. [Photo/Baotou Daily]
