Hunan province to expand trade cooperation with Germany

Multiple enterprises attending the Hunan-Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Meeting, which was held in Xiangjiang New Area on Oct 9, have achieved cooperation agreements.

Over 30 German enterprises participated in the meeting, covering more than 10 industries including intelligent manufacturing, intelligent network vehicles, finance, consulting, law, machinery, tourism, medicine, new energy and marketing.

Germany TÜV SÜD Group (the largest and oldest inspection institution in the world) agreed to establish an office in the Yuelu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Changsha. It also plans to cooperate with Xiangjiang New Area after further communications. Hunan Nuocheng Photovoltaic Technology Co Ltd and Hunan Lichi New Energy Technology Co Ltd will work with BioHeatPlus Co Ltd in thermal systems. Hunan Lide’er Intelligent Technology Co Ltd reached a preliminary agreement with Festo (China) Ltd to explore cooperation in the trading of their key products.

In addition, the management committee of the Yuelu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone and Wasion Group (an energy measurement instrument, system and service supplier) began collaborating with TÜV Rheinland in Guangdong province in automobile manufacturing. Broad Homes Industrial International Co Ltd will work with Germany SE Controls Ltd (a market leader in vent automation products and control systems) in international housing and ventilation systems.

Germany has become Hunan's largest trading partner in Europe. German companies invested a total of $198 million in the first eight months of this year, while bilateral trade between the two sides totaled $534 million, a year-on-year increase of 45.95 percent.

Next, enterprises on both sides will carry out further communication and field visits to explore multi-field cooperation.
