A joint exhibition of the work of Chinese artist Luo Xiangke and American artist Endi Poskovic opened on June 16 at the Yuxiang Culture & Arts Center in Changsha, Hunan province.

Luo, a Hunan-born artist, rose to fame following a solo exhibition at the Central Academy of Fine Arts years ago. His unique style integrates traditional Chinese elements with innovative print painting techniques.

Endi Poskovic, an American artist, is also devoted to print media, but with a very different style from Luo. Influenced by Eastern culture, especially Japanese wood painting, Poskovic's art works impressed the audience with their strong color and sense of space.

Luo's exhibited his new creations which focus on the increasing intense relationship between human beings, nature and modern society. Poskovic's collection featured wood paintings and lithography inspired by the landscape of Arizona and his mother's birthplace.

The joint exhibition was designed by famous curator Yang Weiran.

"The double exhibition presents paintings with very different styles. It is a special challenge, as well as a unique combination for a local exhibition," Yang said. "The old style of the architecture in Yuxiang adds extra color for the exhibition too."

The exhibition will last until June 30, and is free to the public.
