Songya Lake Primary Education Group, a new local education brand in Changsha county, was set up on May 15, in a bid to share high quality education resources and provide better elementary education.

The group consists of two members – Songya Lake Primary School and the Second Songya Lake Primary School.

Founded in 2011 and State-run, Songya Lake Primary School has won provincial honors for education and for teaching chess.

Covering 47, 800 square meters, the newly-built Second Songya Lake Primary School is the largest elementary school with such complete facilities – enrollment will begin in autumn.

"We will create a famous education brand that will give children the best education," said Li Linzi, the principle of the group.

A spokesman from Changsha county's education bureau expressed that collectivized school management is a new approach aimed at balancing the development of compulsory education by sharing skills, teacher resources, and equipment among its members.
