Xu Xianping, deputy director of the National Reform and Development Commission (NDRC), along with his delegation investigated the Huaqiao International Service Business Park on Aug 28. He was accompanied by Chen Zhenning, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission; Pu Ronggao, deputy mayor of Jiangsu; Xia Xiaoliang, deputy mayor of Kunshan; and Shen Huafei, deputy director of the management committee of Huaqiao.

Xu Xianping and his delegation first visited the planning exhibition hall in the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone. After listening to a report on the Metro Line 11 project in Huaqiao, Xu Xianping said Huaqiao should take full advantage of its location to promote development. The delegation then went to the Jishan community where relocated residents live. They moved here from rural areas during the city’s urbanization. Xu spoke highly of improved facilities at the community hospital.
