Du Yuansheng, deputy director of the Management Committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian Province and a delegation investigated Cross-Straits (Kunshan) commerce and trade cooperation zone on July 19.

Du Yuansheng and the delegation visited the exhibition hall of the zone, appreciated its achievements so far, and offered suggestions on developing cross-straits relations based on Pingtan’s experience.

The Cross-Straits (Kunshan) commerce and trade cooperation zone covers an area of 4.4 square kilometers and a construction area of 4 million square kilometers. During the coming 3 to 5 years, its goal is to become an important hub of Taiwan products in the Yangtze River Delta with a trade volume of RMB 200-300 billion and a demonstration area for Taiwan enterprises to upgrade.
