Nine members of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) came to Kunshan on July 28 to discuss plans to host the 2010 Kunshan Electronics and Computer Show. Government officials also attended the meeting.

Two sides both exchanged their views on planning, operating and budgeting. Shen Huafei, deputy secretary of the Huaqiao Commercial Zone Working Committee, said the Kunshan Electronics and Computer Show will promote economic exchanges between Kunshan and Taiwan, promote the development of modern hospitality industry and enhance the image of the business park in Kunshan.

This event is going to be the first of its kind in Kunshan, and the goal is to promote the area for the closing ceremony of Jiangsu Taiwan Week. Sponsored by the city of Kunshan and TEEMA, the show will be held at the Taiwan Cross Straits Commodity Center. The center will accommodate 450 exhibit stands for mostly Taiwan enterprises.

TEEMA was established in 1948 to serve the interests of Taiwan electrical and electronics industries and to act as a liaison between the industry, its customers and the Chinese government.
