Tree-Planting Day is just around the corner. Ruzhou’s cadres and workers came to Xianglu Mountain near Beijing on March 8 to plant trees. Attendees included: Li Quansheng, secretary of the Pingdingshan municipal standing committee and Ruzhou municipal Party committee, and Wan Ying, mayor and deputy Party secretary of Ruzhou.

At the tree-planting event, Li Quansheng and Wan Ying talked with the forestry staff. They studied the details and implementation of the area’s afforestation work in the past year. The forestry sector has been required to use their time efficiently and strengthen greening efforts, which has lead to more tree-planting events. Ecological construction should be planned and carried out in a scientific and detail-oriented way. Relevant departments and personnel should carry out protective measures to ensure afforestation that will improve the ecological environment.

People carried tools such as shovels and buckets and went to their planting areas. Over 8,000 cypresses and walnut trees were planted during the event.
