By Oct 10, Liuzhou Mobile has built 2,000 4G base stations in Liuzhou, Guangxi, and the coverage area of its 4G Network has surpassed that of its 3G Network. It is expected that over 3,000 base stations will be established by the end of 2014. By then the Mobile 4G Network coverage level will exceed the 2G Network coverage level.
China Mobile acquired the 4G license in December, 2013 and Liuzhou Mobile 4G Network started its construction early in October, 2013. For the convenience of 3.8 million Liuzhou people, Liuzhou Mobile opened 2,000 base stations within 12 months. At present, Liuzhou’s 4G Network has covered urban and county areas and most parts of the towns and villages. It is expected the 4G Network will cover all the urban, county, township and village areas by the end of this year.
While accelerating the network construction, Liuzhou Mobile also sharply decreased the price of its 4G Network. The unit price of network downloads decreased over 50 percent. The present average download speed of the Liuzhou 4G Network can reach 45Mbps, offering a great improvement for the majority of Mobile users.
