Activities during the expo are carefully designed each year by the expo committee, which attracts businessmen from ASEAN to visit famous automobile enterprises in Liuzhou.
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People’s Government has regarded the China-ASEAN Auto Expo as one of the most important expos in Guangxi. The theme of the expo is “Grand Automobile Gathering, Creating Win-win Cooperation”, which aims at improving economic and technical cooperation between China and ASEAN in the automotive field.
It has promoted cooperation in the automotive field between ASEAN and China and provides opportunities for Liuzhou’s automobile enterprises to improve economic and technical cooperation with ASEAN countries.
Many automobile enterprises in Liuzhou had increased their popularity in ASEAN after the expo. For example, Dongfeng has expanded its market to Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and many other ASEAN countries. SGMW has also built factories in Southeast Asia. Liuzhou’s total export value to ASEAN countries reached $169 million in 2013.
