The three agricultural products of Nandan county, Hechi of cocoon fiber, Baping rice, and plum have been designated as China Protected Geographical Indication Products, according to the Nandan agriculture and rural affairs bureau.

Geographical indication of agricultural products is a special indicator showing that agricultural products originate from a specific region, with their quality and characteristics mainly depending on the natural ecological environment and historical human factors.

The geographical indication designation of three agricultural products in Nandan county this time will provided strong support for the county to enhance the brand awareness of agricultural specialty products and further create regional public brands.

To date, Nandan county has obtained six geographical indications of agricultural products, ranking first in Hechi.
